At the 70th Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition, currently taking place at Mitsukoshi Main Store in Nihonbashi, our lacquerware artist, Mr. Tatsuya Matsumoto, a collaborator with LITUP JAPAN, has received the prestigious Chairman’s Award from the Japan Craft Arts Association. This esteemed award acknowledges his exceptional skills, talent, and creativity. Additionally, Her Imperial Highness Princess Kako presented Mr. Tatsuya Matsumoto with a certificate.
Moreover, there was a presentation about the award recipients during the NHK Sunday Art Museum broadcast at 8 PM (with a rebroadcast on Sunday, September 24th).
To commemorate this achievement, Mr. Tatsuya Matsumoto’s artworks will be featured in a touring exhibition. If you happen to be in the area, we would be delighted if you could visit.
